Le Grand Salon de la Comtesse
Acclaimed fare, exceptional service, a prime location and one-of-a-kind venues, offering great flexibility for hosts and planners, are the hallmarks of Le Grand Salon at La Colombe d’Or Hotel. The meeting and events pavilion, which offers a dedicated entry with valet parking, incorporates four primary venues facilitating both function and pre-function needs. Orchestrated in unison, these spaces can comfortably accommodate well over 1,000 guests for standing events or several hundred for seated affairs.
The focal point is La Colombe d’Or’s Grand Ballroom, one of the finest examples of authentic French Regence décor on display in North America. Lined in 300-year-old oak panels from the country chateau of Comte Henry Greffulhe and Princess Elisabeth de Caraman-Chimay, La Comtesse Greffulhe, the Grand Ballroom offers a beautiful presentation of the grandeur of a bygone era. Originally carved in 1715, the panels were installed at the estate near Fontenailles, just outside Paris, in 1891. The exquisite room was the scene of the last great ball of European royalty prior to World War I. Guests included Czar Nicholas of Russia, Caruso, Pasteur, Curie, Wagner, Marconi and Proust.
Generations of fairytales have come true at La Colombe d’Or Hotel, and we hope to make your wedding experience something to treasure forever with our grand spaces, gracious service, creative support and culinary sophistication.
